Kardiachain’s Advisor elected as Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City E-Commerce Development Council
We are honoured to announce Mr Dung Nguyen, a legend in the e-commerce business and advisor for KardiaChain, is officially elected as the Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City E-Commerce Development Council. The position will allow our Advisor to empower the e-commerce industry further, especially in adopting new technologies such as blockchain.
Being in the government council and KardiaChain advisory board, Mr. Nguyen has more leverage to boost Ho Chi Minh City’s growth in the field of e-commerce and the municipal economic growth, asserting his influence in applying blockchain technology in e-commerce for better value proposition to consumers. In turn, it will help KardiaChain products to thrive and execute blockchain mass adoption to every household. Mr Nguyen is also the Vice Chairman of Vietnam E-Commerce Association (VECOM) — The largest association for Vietnamese businesses in e-commerce with approval from the Vietnam Ministry of Domestic Affairs, and a member of the Board of Directors of Yeah1 Group.
The E-Commerce Development Council was founded as the advisory for The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City in strategic planning, policies, and solutions for e-commerce in Ho Chi Minh City. Furthermore, effective from 8 January 2021, the council will be in charge of collecting data and monitoring e-commerce activities to form a master plan for developing the e-commerce industry in Ho Chi Minh City from 2021 to 2025. Ho Chi Minh City has a crucial role in the adoption of advanced technology. The municipal government had submitted a plan to make the area to be a large and fundamental tech hub of the country, dubbed Ho Chi Minh City as the “Silicon Valley of Vietnam”.

As the Vice-Chairman of the Council, Mr Dung with his experience can help the city to realise its vision in the field of e-commerce and contribute hugely to Vietnam digital economy, which is predicted to hit $33 billion by 2025.
